Welcome to Old School Noobs, a podcast based out of a small town in Minnesota that takes a deep dive into the world of video games, sports, comic books, and anything else that comes up. Our hosts, AJ, Luke, Mat and Tyler, are all native Minnesotans and lifelong gamers who want to share their knowledge and passion with the world. They are all sports players/fans who have been getting their hearts broke by MN teams since they were kids. Luke and Mat are comic book enthusiast and fans of Magic: The Gathering, AKA Nerds. Together, they bring their unique perspectives to the table to discuss the latest news and trends in the gaming world. Whether it’s breaking down the latest sports video game releases or debating the merits of a new comic book movie, Old School Noobs have you covered. Welcome back to the Old School Noobs Podcast! Tyler tests Luke and AJ’s Minnesota Wild knowledge with the all-time list of Playoff OT goal scorers for the Wild. They then discuss the Wild’s season and a roundup of the 4 Nations Faceoff. Luke gives us a best of 7 AI football between the All-Time Vikings and Bills. The guys then talk about Season 3 of the hit show Invincible. AJ then gives a brilliant review of Sonic 3. Tyler talks about the MCU origin story show of Spider-Man, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. Luke and AJ talk music for a bit, but then Tyler remembers (because he is The Rememberer) that the Elimination Chamber is on. A supercut of the guys watching the 2025 Elimination Chamber concludes the show!

After their month-long hiatus, the guys are back to talk about everything you can ever imagine. They open with Tyler reading some fan emails! For nerdy stuff, AJ and Tyler talk about Marvel Rivals; Luke catches everyone up on season 3 of Invincible, AJ and Tyler talk about their time on the sleeper hit game Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand, and Luke and Tyler talk about their Civilization campaign. Then the fellas get into sports and recap the NFL Playoffs (imagine losing to the Commanders) and the NHL’s 4 Nations Face-Off. They also get nostalgic about old Viking and Wild players and moments amongst other old-head talk. Then, they wrap it up with Tyler’s review of Watchmen (2009). Incredible stuff from the fellas in this episode, as they have clearly honed their skills during their hiatus.

Welcome back to the Old School Noobs Podcast! The fellas still missed a Thursday record even though they promised to do it every other Thursday. But they did get together on Sunday, although they were distracted by the Vikings-Packers game (Big Vikes W). They Ramble through various sports topics, NFL, College Football, and the Minnesota Wild. They also touch on their Saturday night gaming session of Roblox Football and a little bit of NHL 25. Tyler gets a little heated about the final season of Game of Thrones and gives us his thoughts. AJ stays locked in to the Vikes game for most of the episode. And then some NFL Trivia to finish it off.

Welcome back to Old School Noobs! After the Great Audio Equipment Heist pulled off by Bum and Zilly, which took place after our last episode, the guys finally got it back and were able to record an episode! Aj, Luke, and Tyler discuss the NFL season to this point. They talk about the Minnesota Wild and their hot start and talk about Alexander Ovechkin’s chase of greatness. Tyler quickly previews the Gophers’ game he’s going to against Penn State. They also bring back a fan favorite segment of movie suggestions to each other, which should lead to great reviews next episode. Luke talks about his NHL 25 experience with Former Matt. Tyler and AJ talk about the new game Dragon Age Veilguard. And the guys commit to recording every other Thursday starting in December.

Welcome back to Old School Noobs! On this episode AJ, Luke, and Tyler were joined by Bum & Zilly of The Bum and Zilly Show Fame. Since Bum N Zilly are Lions fans, they discuss the highly anticipated showdown for NFC North supremacy between the Vikings and Lions. The hosts also talk about the recent news in the NFL and Tyler gets everyone update with how great PJ Fleck’s Golden Gophers are doing. Then Zilly finally gets his wrestling segment which mostly involves talking old Wrestlemanias and Luke and Zilly’s backyard wrestling run. Brief talk about video games including AJ and Tyler’s playoff matchup in their EA College Football Online Dynasty and classic wrestling video games.
